Ⅰ. PREPARATION
1. Subfloor Requirements:
Flat, clean, no sand accumulation, no sandloose.
Note: to extend the working life of the ground, rough subfloors shall be constructed with extra strength self-leveling cement after they get cleaned up.
2. Accommodation to Job Site
Allow the material to sit in the area to be installed for a minimum of 24 hours to be acclimated at room temperature after packaging is opened on the job site. Do not store the material higher than 3 packs.
Ⅱ.INSTALLATION
1. Area planning: plan well the area before laying, and reserve expansion joints at the interface.
2. Keep smooth a ground drainage.
3. BERSON rubber floor tiles (20mm thick above) have mounting holes, which can be used with BERSON special connector.
4. The installation sequence of rubber floor tiles: extends from the middle to the periphery.
Method 1: cross installation, keep vertical both in horizontal and vertical directions, as shown below :
Method 2: pin-type installation, as shown below:
5. Reserve 10mm between the wall edge and the rubber floor tiles because of thermal expansion and contraction, and the edge of the wall is treated with the edge strip.
6. After the rubber floor tiles are laid, use a rubber mallet to level the floor tiles with the buckles.
Ⅲ. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
1. Mop or wet vacuum floor daily. Regular cleaning is required for those high traffic areas.
2. Use neutral cleaning agents. Pick up solution with a wet vacuum.
3. Take care NOT to damage the floor with any sharp object. No cutting, no stabbing, no needling.
4. Take care NOT to pour any colored pigment or solvent on the floor.
5. Take care NOT to pour any oil, heat up, or light the fire on the floor.
6. It’s recommended to do the regular maintenance using transparent liquid wax to keep the surface bright.
